Our Commitment to the Community
Everything we do at National Vision is aligned with our company Vision: “We believe everyone deserves to see their best to live their best.” This is especially true when it comes to our corporate philanthropy programs and initiatives.
The need for eye care and eyewear is a critical national and global issue. We focus our philanthropy efforts in the optical sector, where we feel we can make the greatest difference. Because of our Doctors, it is possible for us to make our vision a reality, simply by delivering care in your day-to-day job.
Many of our Doctors and staff members are also energized to serve others outside of their patient base, and we believe in empowering them to do so. We are proud to be working with many organizations and individuals, both domestically and around the world, to provide solutions so more people can get the care they need.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America
National Vision is a proud partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We are committed to helping Club Kids by providing funding, free vision screenings, and if needed, access to free comprehensive eye exams and eyeglasses through our America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses locations. With 94% of our locations having a Club within 10 miles, it’s a perfect match.
20/20 Quest is a National Vision, Inc. foundation chartered for the purpose of providing screenings, eye exams, eyeglasses and refractive error solutions to the optically underserved in both the United States and the developing world. We have delivered more than 8,000 eye exams and 9,000 free pairs of glasses to school children throughout the U.S. We have helped 180,000 people in 132 countries through mission work, and our Frames for the World division has helped tens of thousands more – made possible through frame donations from both frame manufacturers and optical chains.
VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) is a non-profit organization operated purely by eye care professionals on a volunteer basis, who share a passion for bringing vision care to every person on the planet. National Vision has been a proud supporter of VOSH and their efforts for more than 10 years, through monetary, product and equipment donations. We will donate $1,000 per school, per year, to any OD or OD student supporting a VOSH or SVOSH clinic. We will also supply a package of readers and sunglasses. Handheld autorefractors are available for loan. Submit a Clinic Support Request below.
In addition to the above programs, National Vision empowers our affiliated ODs to develop a plan to deliver much-needed eye care and eyewear in their communities. For schools, we have a program that delivers backpacks full of vouchers, eye health education and more to children in need as identified by school nurses. Talk to your regional manager about your interests and ideas.
