A New Orleans native, Daniel Smith, O.D. has been practicing therapeutic optometry in Baton Rouge since 1996. Prior to returning home after optometry school, he gained robust experience working in a multi-specialty eye clinic located in Chicago's inner city.

Dr. Smith uses his vast experience in optometry to offer extensive vision and eye health examinations. In his role as President, Dr. Smith oversees day-to-day operations of his practice and exemplifies the high clinical standards he expects of all optometrists who practice in his offices.

Dr. Smith is an alumnus of Xavier University of Louisiana, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He went on to continue his education at the Illinois College of Optometry, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Visual Science and a Doctorate in Optometry. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and Optometry Association of Louisiana (OAL). In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with his wife Felicia and two daughters. He’s also an avid sports fan who proudly cheers for the New Orleans Saints.
