Lead Lab Tech - Optical Manufacturing

Job Responsibilities

Our associates are responsible for performing a variety of duties, depending on their assigned department.  Lead lab techs are responsible for processing orders, training associates and assisting Supervisors with department operations. 

Duties of an Inventory Lead include:

• Print orders from DVI, edit errors, sort lenses, ensure job trays are correct for processing
• Pre-inspect lenses, return defects to manufacturer
• Receive lenses into inventory, load new frames into DVI, inventory lenses periodically
• Add lenses and frames to inventory for cancelled orders
• Research orders failures, process lens breakage through DVI

Responsibilities of Lead Lab Techs include:

• Monitoring production, stations, associate tasks and workflow
• Assist with expediting job orders as needed
• Addressing job issues, process lens breakage
• Machine operation, organize job trays to optimize processing and route within and between departments
• Train new associates according to direction from the Supervisor
• Work with the Supervisor to review and improve performance and environment of the department

Preferred Qualifications

• No specific education required
• At least one (1) year of direct or related experience required
• Must be able to read and write English
