Job Responsibilities
This role is critical to safeguarding liquidity, optimizing working capital, and strengthening the company’s financial resilience as the business grows. It will set treasury strategy and governance; enhance daily cash and forecasting capabilities; and drive improvements in productivity, controls, and technology. In addition, this leader will oversee risk management strategies related to interest rate exposures and insurance programs. This role leads treasury operations, banking and capital partner relationships, and end-to-end cash and liquidity management to support the company’s strategic priorities.
What Would You Do? The Specifics.
- Own and evolve the company’s enterprise treasury strategy, operating model, policies, and enabling infrastructure in alignment with business growth, complexity, and risk appetite.
- Provide oversight of global cash operations, liquidity positioning, and short-term investing to ensure adequate funding, strong controls, and timely decision support.
- Define and execute the treasury technology roadmap (TMS/banking platforms/automation), implementing bank products and services that improve the cash cycle, strengthen controls, and simplify operations.
- Lead enterprise-level working capital and liquidity initiatives (cash conversion cycle optimization, funding strategy, and process improvements) in partnership with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, and Operations.
- Serve as the senior outward-facing treasury leader for the company’s banks, lenders, rating/credit counterparties (as applicable), and hedge counterparties; support financing strategy and key negotiations.
- Oversee banking and financial institution relationships, including account governance, KYC/authorization structures, service model, and negotiation of bank and service fees.
- Set and continually optimize the company’s investment policy, counterparty/risk limits, and performance monitoring for short-term investments.
- Strengthen the treasury control environment (including SOX/operational controls), policies, and procedures; drive standardization and automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Partner with Accounting, Tax, Legal, Procurement, and Operations to evaluate structural improvements, support strategic initiatives, and ensure treasury considerations are embedded in key decisions.
- Lead capital structure and debt strategy analytics, including facility modeling, covenant/repayment analysis, and recommendations on cost of capital, hurdle rates, and capital efficiency; support financing execution and ongoing lender requirements.
- Oversee corporate and fund-level credit lines, including documentation coordination, covenant compliance support, drawdowns, repayments, and interest calculations.
- Develop and present executive-level liquidity dashboards and weekly cash flow reporting, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions for senior leadership.
- Establish and oversee the treasury risk management framework, including currency, interest rate, and credit/counterparty risks; monitor financial markets and govern hedging strategy, documentation, and effectiveness.
- Partner closely with FP&A to deliver enterprise balance sheet reporting, liquidity analytics, and scenario planning that informs strategic decision-making.
- Own short- and long-term cash forecasting processes, including assumption governance, scenario modeling, and alignment to the company’s planning cadence.
- Establish and maintain enterprise treasury governance (policies, delegations of authority, controls, and compliance) to support corporate requirements and applicable financial regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness, adherence to best practices, and timely remediation of control findings impacting treasury.
- Oversee insurance strategy and renewal process, including broker relationships, coverage analysis, and coordination with legal and risk as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience
- 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate treasury/finance, including leadership of treasury operations, banking relationships, and liquidity management (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise banking networks, treasury operations, and financial risk management, including funding/credit facilities and policy governance. (Required)
- Prior experience in retail, consumer, multi-site, or manufacturing environments (Preferred)
- Proficient with financial systems such as Oracle or other ERP platforms; experience implementing or optimizing treasury technology (TMS/banking portals) (Preferred)
- Strong command of Excel, financial modeling, and executive reporting; experience with dashboards, treasury analytics, and automation tools a plus (Required)
- Executive presence and effective communicator with the ability to present complex financial topics to senior leadership and, as needed, Board-level audiences (Required)
- Strategic, change-oriented leader who can influence across functions, build high-performing teams, and operate at both tactical and enterprise levels in a fast-paced environment. (Required)
