Job Responsibilities
The Regional Doctor Recruiter is responsible for the full lifecycle recruitment of optometrists and optometry students across an assigned region. This role serves as a strategic partner to business and clinical leaders, providing recruiting expertise, market insights, workforce planning support, and hiring recommendations. The Regional Doctor Recruiter develops talent pipelines, manages candidate relationships from sourcing through onboarding, and drives successful hiring outcomes to support National Vision's business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic talent advisor to Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Clinical Directors, District Managers, Area Doctors, and other business leaders by providing workforce planning recommendations, market insights, hiring forecasts, and recruitment strategies.
- Source, recruit, interview, and assess licensed optometrists and optometry students for employment, telehealth, and lease opportunities within the National Vision Doctor of Optometry Network.
- Develop and execute sourcing and recruiting strategies to build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Consult with business leaders on market conditions, compensation, incentives, and hiring strategies to attract, negotiate, and successfully close top optometry talent.
- Educate candidates on career opportunities, practice models, compensation, benefits, contractual requirements, and the value of partnering with National Vision.
- Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding, serving as the primary point of contact and coordinating licensure, credentialing, board examination results, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Utilize ATS, CRM, sourcing platforms, recruiting technologies, and recruiting metrics to manage pipelines, analyze hiring trends, and improve recruiting effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Operations, Clinical Leadership, The People Team, Compensation, and other cross-functional partners to support talent acquisition initiatives and business objectives.
- Represent National Vision at optometry schools, industry conferences, career fairs, professional association events, and networking opportunities while leading recruiting projects and process improvement initiatives that support organizational growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in full lifecycle recruiting including successfully sourcing diverse range of applicants, qualifying, interviewing, networking, salary negotiation and relationship management. (Required)
- Knowledge or relationships with retail optometrists and the industry in general are preferred.
- Strong verbal/written communication abilities; effective interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail.
- Manages multiple assignments, sets priorities, and adapts to changing conditions and work assignments.
- Ability to travel when required.
