Carla Bourne, M.D. is President of Gulfview Vision Associates where she oversees multiple offices in Florida. In her personal practice, she specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery in Central Florida. Her attention to detail and dedication to exceptional patient care give her an edge above other ophthalmologists.

Dr. Bourne received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in the accelerated BS/MD degree program. She interned at the Eastern Virginia Medical School and went on to complete her residency at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Bourne then started a glaucoma fellowship at Tufts University, where she became an esteemed expert in the field.

Dr. Bourne is from the beautiful island of Barbados and now resides in Tampa, FL. When she is not working, she enjoys traveling, teaching and exploring new areas of nature around her.
